Benefits of Joining as a Breeder
GANA is a growing and developing non-profit Breed Club. Our members have the influence to create and guide the policies that affect our interests and the breed. GANA strives to promote best breeding care and practice. If your passion is raising healthy Goldendoodles and protecting the outcome of the breed, please join us! We are always in search of new members who are willing to breed only health-tested dogs. You can really make a difference in what you bring to the organization to help further and protect the Goldendoodle breed!
GANA stays up to date on new research and studies that affect the Goldendoodle so we can bring that education to our members. As a breeder member, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with other breeders via our Facebook page and organized events.
New members will also have access to mentor services from members of the GANA Board as needed. This is very beneficial if you are a new breeder of Goldendoodles or are just looking to improve your existing breeding program.
GANA maintains a searchable pedigree and health registry service for our members. We look forward to growing this database with you!
As a member, you will also have access to partner genetic labs and other services related to our breeding programs. Many genetic labs offer discounted DNA panels that are exclusive to GANA members. We have also partnered with Pet insurance companies that will help our members send their puppies home with free pet insurance. We are continually looking for other ways to expand on these types of services and would love to hear your ideas!
GANA Breeder Application
Whether you are a new or well-established Goldendoodle Breeder, become a breeder member of GANA and have a say in the future development of your breed, get support from a mentor, or get involved in continuing education opportunities!
GANA also welcomes stud owner only breeders to apply for membership. They must also abide by our Code of Ethics, plus our Policies and Guidelines.
To apply for Breeder Membership in GANA, fill out the application along with the $199 application fee. Membership dues are $150 annually after. Application fees are non-refundable.
GANA™ Apprentice Program
One of GANA’s goals is to mentor new breeders to ensure they learn and use best practices to produce healthy, sound puppies. To assist with this mission, GANA offers an entry level apprenticeship to those interested in learning how to select appropriate breeding stock and test their puppies/dogs to meet GANA’s health testing requirements. This program provides discount codes to labs that perform health testing, access to our private Facebook group which will allow you to seek advice from top Goldendoodle breeds, and our educational library. The apprentice membership fee is $100 a year. Once the Apprentice has completed their first breeding with health tested and registered dogs, they will be promoted to a full breeder member. As such they are required to abide by the GANA Code of Ethics plus all Policies and Guidelines.
